Description
The Bridge House and Steading in Glenfarg is a two-storey house originally built in the early 18th century. It features a three-window design, with the first-floor windows raised and adorned with gablet dormers added during the Victorian period. The exterior is stuccoed and lined out with margins, resting on a boulder foundation, while the west gable is harled and includes skewputts and straight skews that have a roll at half their height. There is a late Victorian northern wing that has a canted bay and a new entrance, constructed with whitewashed bullfaced masonry. The roofs are slated. The steading, likely built around the same time as the house, has been altered in the late 18th or early 19th century. It is a single-storey structure with a loft, made of pinned whin-stone rubble with droved sandstone dressings and doors, featuring a slit opening. The roof is pantiled, with the loft opening raised within the roof.
