Description

Oakbank Mill is a three-storey and basement mill building situated on a steeply sloping site. It is constructed from rubble and features a peind roofed wheel house at the basement level, which houses a waterwheel approximately 18 feet in diameter and 10 feet wide. The mill has circumference gearing and a cast iron transmission shaft with gearing that rises externally up the face of the main building. There is also a rock-cut tail race associated with the mill.
