Description
Drysgeirch Mill is a 2½-storey mill constructed of rubble stone, featuring grey freestone dressings and quoins, topped with a slate roof. The front of the mill has a doorway on the right side, accessed by external steps that were overgrown at the time of inspection. It includes a cambered head, a round-headed central window, and a camber-headed window to the left, all of which are open. On the upper storey, there are two round-headed windows, one of which still has iron glazing bars. The asymmetrical right gable end features round-headed windows on each storey and in the loft, all retaining iron glazing bars. The left gable end showcases an overshot cast iron waterwheel, although the original wrought iron buckets are missing, and an iron-framed round-headed loft window.
The interior is believed to preserve much of its original machinery, including a pit wheel and wallower, as well as two pairs of stones.
