Description
Auchencloigh is a mid-19th century farmhouse, originally a 2-storey, 3-bay structure. The exterior walls are harled with painted margins. A prominent pilastered doorpiece is centrally positioned. The windows are 4-pane sashes throughout. Architectural details include an eaves course cornice, a blocking course, end stacks, and a slate roof.
The rear features a significantly altered U-plan yard, containing two segmental-headed carriage entrances on the west block. The farmhouse was depicted on the Ordnance Survey map of 1856.
