Eastern Keeper's House, Tiumpan Head Lighthouse, Lewis

The Eastern Keeper's House at Tiumpan Head Lighthouse, built in 1900 by the Commissioners of Northern Lighthouses with D A Stevenson as the engineer, includes the lighthouse and its associated buildings. All structures are whitewashed with contrasting painted details. The lighthouse itself is a moderately tall, battered circular tower featuring a door at the base with an inscription on a block pediment above. It has two tiers of galleries, with the upper tier surrounding a domed lantern that has diamond-paned glass, which is a standard design.

Adjoining the lighthouse to the north is a low, flat-roofed range. To the west, there is a long, low rectangular block with a flat roof, facing south. This elevation is divided into two sections, each with a central door, and features sash windows with 4-pane glazing, along with end and center stacks. A second block of similar size is set crossways and positioned further to the west; its original status is uncertain. This block has 8 bays and 3 sash windows, mostly with a 12-pane glazing pattern, and simplified roof detailing. The roofscape includes two sets of paired stacks, likely over internal cross-walls, and three ventilators near the south end. The site is enclosed by a perimeter wall and square gatepiers at the south.
