Stewart House, South Road, Garmouth

Stewart House, located on South Road in Garmouth, is a mid-19th century building with an earlier core, likely from the late 18th century. This single-storey and attic house features five bays, along with a two-storey, two-bay rear wing. The front is harled, while the flanks are made of rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The central entrance is flanked by projecting canted windows, and there are three piended dormers that break the wallhead, which have modern two-pane glazing. The house has tall end and ridge stacks, a slate roof, and a stone ridge.

In front of the house, there is a low coped garden wall that connects to a former stable gighouse, which has a gable loft door and a slate roof. The rest of the garden is enclosed by clay and bool walls.
