Description

6 Berryhillock and the Post Office is an earlier 19th-century building that originally consisted of a pair of cottages, one with 2 bays and the other with 3 bays, which have now been combined into a single dwelling. Attached to the south gable is a later 19th-century single-storey Post Office with a narrow 3-bay design. The structure is made of harled rubble with contrasting painted margins on the dwelling house. The house features modern glazing, a single window, and a small attic window in the north return gable. It has end and ridge stacks, and the original thatched roof of the dwelling has been replaced with a corrugated-iron roof, while the Post Office has a slate roof.
