Description
111-113 High Street in Elgin is a building from the later 19th century, featuring three storeys and an attic with two bays. The ground floor has a modern shop front and a narrow flat-headed entrance. Above, the facade is made of finely tooled ashlar with polished ashlar dressings. The first floor includes mullioned and transomed windows with two and three lights, while the second floor has a pair of bipartite windows flanked by half fluted pilasters and a bracketed cill course. There is a frieze and cornice above this level. The roof features two tall pedimented dormers, which are flanked by scrolled consoles and connected by a low arcaded parapet. The building has a slate roof and a three-storey wing at the rear, with rubble close walls topped with stone copes.
