Description
115 High Street in Elgin is a classical bank building dating from around 1830 to 1840, with later alterations and additions from the 19th century. It is three stories tall with an attic and features three bays, constructed of ashlar stone. The entrance is a narrow flat-headed pend located at the extreme left. The ground floor includes a door and three windows, while the first floor has two later bowed oriel windows. The building is adorned with moulded architraves and six garlanded urns, and it has two piended dormers. The rear elevation is made of rubble with tooled dressings and includes a canted oriel on the first floor. Inside the pend, there is a moulded ceiling, and the building is topped with a slate roof.
