Description

This building is a pair of single storey and attic cottages, dating from around 1840 to 1850, located at Gordon Castle Farm. Each cottage has two south-west facing bays and features rear entrances. The exterior is harled with tooled ashlar margins. Each cottage has two ground floor windows with bracketed cornices, while the return gables are blind. There are also two gabled wallhead dormers and lying-pane glazing. An eaves band runs across the return gables, serving as a cill band. The cottages have a coped centre ridge stack and a slate roof that includes a rear catslide and projecting eaves. There are some modern windows at the rear.
