Description
East Lodge, dating to circa 1860 and situated at Ballindalloch Castle, is a single-storey, symmetrical lodge facing west with three bays. The lodge is constructed of harled rubble with tooled ashlar margins. A gabled, weather-boarded porch, supported by rustic timber columns, shelters the central doorway. A triangular bay window is located at the north gable, facing the drive entrance, while a blind window is present in the south gable. The windows have lying-pane glazing. A central ridge stack features three flues, and the roof is slate-covered with projecting eaves and decorative bargeboards with end pendants. A wing extends to the rear of the lodge.
