Description
5 New Street in Findochty is likely a mid-19th century cottage that was raised to a single storey and attic in the late 19th century. The building features a single storey, 3-bay design, with a mid-19th century single storey, 2-bay addition at the south gable, which was formerly a store. The exterior is rendered with contrasting painted long and short dressings. The central entrance has a cast plaque above it displaying the number 5. Gabled dormers with painted concrete dressings are present in the outer bays, and the windows have 4-pane glazing. The cottage has end stacks and a slate roof.
