Description
The Laundry and Bothy at Dipple House is an early to mid-19th century building. It is a long, single-storey structure facing east, consisting of five irregular bays and constructed from whitewashed rubble. The entrance is off-centre, with the laundry located to the right (north) and the bothy to the left (south). The building features small windows with varied glazing, a ridge stack, and a small louvred vent on the ridge for the laundry. The roof is piended and covered with local slate, finished with a stone ridge.
Adjacent to the bothy range is the Dairy, which is also likely from the early to mid-19th century. This square, single-storey building has a loft and consists of a single bay, positioned in line with the bothy but separated by a track. It has an off-centre entrance on the east elevation, along with a small window and a loft window on the north side, both of which are shuttered. The Dairy features a piended local slate roof.
Inside the Dairy, there is a simple shelved room with a flagged floor.
