Description

The Bridge of Findhorn, built in 1938 by engineers Blythe and Blythe, is a single span steel bridge. It features three segmental parallel cast-iron rings connected by latticed struts that support a concrete deck with cast-iron parapets. The bridge has ribbed concrete abutments that are flanked by giant pilaster buttresses, which terminate in a concrete parapet with a square end pier. The approximate span of the bridge is 300 feet.
