Hollybush, 11 Park Road, Dalkeith

Hollybush is a semi-detached house located at 11 Park Road in Dalkeith, built in the later 19th century. This single-storey and attic home features three bays. The east elevation is finished in stugged ashlar, while the other sides are constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings. It has base and eaves courses, and the windows have stop-chamfered margins and stone mullions.

On the east elevation facing Park Road, there is a deep-set door at the center with a raised surround and a bracketed coped cornice. The door is panelled and topped with a two-pane fanlight. The outer bays feature hoodmoulded tripartite windows.

The south elevation is adjoined to No 9 Park Road. On the north elevation, there is a small window to the right of center at ground level.

The house has sash and case windows with a plate glass glazing pattern. Above the outer bays, there are two slate-hung canted and piended dormer windows, along with a rooflight at the center. The roof has coped skews that are mutual to the south and a bracketed skewputt to the northeast. There is a gablehead stack on the north side and a mutual stack on the south. The roof is covered with purple-grey slates, and some original cans remain.
