64, 66 St Andrew Street, Dalkeith

64 and 66 St Andrew Street in Dalkeith is a two-storey block of four local authority flats, built around 1930. The building has a rectangular plan and features six bays. The ground floor is harled, while the first floor is rendered, with a base course and a cill course at the first floor.

On the west elevation facing St Andrew Street, there are doors with painted margins in the penultimate bays on both the left and right sides. The windows are regularly arranged on both floors, with two-light windows in the center bays that were originally three-light. Above the doors, there is a small aproned window on the first floor.

The north elevation has a deep-set door with a tall corniced doorcase and lintel details at the center. The south elevation features a door with a tall corniced doorcase at the center as well. The east elevation has two doors at the center and also displays regularly arranged windows.

The building has a piended roof covered in red tiles. The windows have a regrettable sash and case effect replacement with plate glass glazing. There are harled stacks, with a ridge stack at the center and additional stacks towards the rear on the north and south pitches.
