Description

The Tontine Hotel is a three-storey building with a basement and an attic, located at 5 and 6 Ardgowan Square in Greenock. It features a five-window frontage and a three-bay pediment, constructed from fine ashlar stone. The hotel has single-storey wings that are connected by curved quadrants, which were built in 1803. Around 1900, the porch was extended and glazed.
