Description

The Waverley Hotel, located at 10 Merchant Street in Peterhead, dates from around 1800. It is a three-storey building with a basement and features three windows. The façade is made of ashlar stone and includes a recessed arched stair porch with a rusticated surround. The entrance is highlighted by an Ionic pilastered doorpiece. Additional architectural details include skewputs and a jerkin-head gable topped with twin chimneys.
