Description
This is a later 19th-century gate lodge, a single-storey, three-bay cottage located at Reelig House. The cottage is harled (roughcast) and has a slate roof with a pronounced bellcast profile and decorative red tile ridges. A slate canopy porch, supported by four rustic timber columns, shelters the central door on the northeast-facing front, which looks onto the driveway. The windows are sash windows with four panes of glazing. Paired coped ridge stacks are present. The gate lodge is accompanied by a pair of later 19th-century rubble gate piers, each topped with simple copes and ball finials.
