Description

Ferry Cottage is an early 19th century, two-storey, three-bay house. The walls are harled. The south elevation features a central door, now largely obscured by a modern sun parlour with glazed panels. The windows have 12 panes each, and the roof is slate-covered, with chimney stacks at the ends. A single-storey range of former stables and a byre adjoins the west gable; this part of the building is constructed of whitewashed rubble with a corrugated iron roof. Local tradition suggests that the property was once used as an inn.
