Description

This is an earlier 19th century house, originally a single storey and three bays in plan. The house is harled (roughcast) and has a slate roof with end stacks. The south elevation originally featured a central doorway, but this is now masked by a modern glazed sun parlour. A pair of later wallhead gabled dormers are located in the outer bays. The ground floor windows feature 12-pane glazing, while the dormers have modern glazing. A high drystone garden retaining wall runs alongside the property, terminating in a round pier with a tooled rubble cap. The property is known as Mr Urquhart's House.
