Description

This is an early 19th century, two-storey and attic house with a central door flanked by modern shop fronts. The house is three bays wide and built of coursed red rubble, with dressings of tooled rubble. The first floor has symmetrical window placement with 12-pane glazing. Three small, piended dormers are visible, each with 4-pane glazing. Chimneys are situated at each end, and the roof is covered in slate. J Robertson’s 'General View of Agriculture of the County of Inverness' (1808), page 70, provides further details.
