Description

This is an 1865 police station, a two-storey, three-bay house situated in Lochcarron. It is constructed of coursed rubble with modern cement pointing and cement rendered margins, and the side elevations are harled. The building features a central door and sixteen-pane sash windows on the ground floor, while the first floor windows are smaller, with twelve panes. All windows have thick wooden mullions. The end stacks have been renewed, and the roof is slate. An advertisement in the Inverness Advertiser on February 14, 1865, sought tenders for the building's construction.
