Description
Ardclach Old Manse is a manse built in 1844, featuring a two-storey, three-bay L-plan design that faces south. The structure is constructed of rubble with tooled dressings. The entrance is located in a re-entrant, concealed by a later gabled porch, and includes a panelled door. To the right of the entrance and in an advanced gable to the left, there are tripartite windows with thick moulded wooden mullions. The symmetrical three-bay west elevation has 12-pane glazing, with coped end, wallhead, and ridge stacks. The roof is slate, with a piended design at the southwest wing, and there is an outshot at the rear.
The steading, also dating from around 1844, is a single-storey rubble U-plan structure that faces east towards the road and has a slate roof. Surrounding the house is a simple drystone garden wall with a rough cope.
