Description

Dated 1655. Simple square, 2-storey tower with double pitched

roof. Harled, Ashlar dressings. Low doorway at SE; 2 irregular diminutive windows below eaves in east elevation; 2 small

gun-loops in north gable; datestone in centre south gable and 1

further small gun-loop. Simple bellcote at south gable apex,

and stumpy corniced stack at north; local slate roof; stone

ridge.

Interior; vaulted ground floor chamber (cell) in ground floor;

simple stone stairs lead to 1st floor room with chimney piece

in north gable with monogram MGB flanked by gun-loops.
