Description
The stables at Novar House date from the late 18th to early 19th century and consist of two parallel, two-storey, five-bay blocks. These blocks are connected at the north and south by retaining walls that feature gate piers topped with ball finials. The exterior is harled, with ashlar margins. The south gable of the west block includes a carriage house with a segmental head and keystone. There are small windows on the first floor, and the ground floor and gable ends have been re-fenestrated. The building has hipped ends, wallhead stacks, ridge stacks, and piended slate roofs.
