Description

1 Balvenir Place is a pair of two-storey dwellings built around 1865. Each dwelling features two wide bays and has advanced outer gables that are connected by a canopy supported by five chamfered and broached ashlar pilasters.

Number 1 is finished with harling and has ashlar dressings, while Number 2 is constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. The entrances are located at the re-entrant angles, and there are hoodmoulds over the ground floor windows in the gables. The first floor has two centrally placed gabletted windows that break the wallhead. Both dwellings have end and ridge corniced stacks and are topped with a slate roof.
