Description

Ousdale Bridge is a circa 1815 rubble bridge constructed by Thomas Telford, spanning the Ousdale Burn. It is a high single-span structure featuring a dressed rubble arch ring flanked by buttresses on both faces. A low dressed parapet runs along the top, and the approaches are splayed. The approximate span is 21 feet. The bridge is now bypassed by a new section of the A9 road. Statutory address: Ousdale Bridge over the Ousdale Burn.
