Description

Dovecot at Craggie Farm is an early 19th century cylindrical structure. It is built of harl pointed rubble with red tooled ashlar dressings. The upper stage is corbelled and features four rows of small round-headed flightholes, which have blocked impost detailing and alighting ledges; the flightholes on the northeast and northwest sides are blind. There is a doorway on the east side, and the roof is a shallow pyramidal slate design with a circular bird entrance at the center.

Inside, the dovecot is lined from floor to ceiling with 216 stone nesting boxes.
