Description

The Dovecot at Coombe Place is likely an early 19th-century structure that serves as a landmark. It has an octagonal shape and is faced with flints, featuring dressings and quoins made of red brick and grey headers. The building has a coved eaves cornice and a slate roof topped with an octagonal wooden cupola that forms the entrance for the birds. Each side of the dovecot has a blocked imitation pointed window and a similar quatrefoil above it. There is also a pointed doorway, and the dovecot retains its nesting boxes.
