Description

Viewfield House, built around 1800, is a classical house featuring two storeys and an attic, with a three-bay layout that includes a prominent, advanced centre bay topped with a pediment. The exterior is cement rendered and lined to resemble ashlar, with polished ashlar dressings and rusticated quoins. The central doorway is adorned with architraves, a bracketed cornice, and a fanlight, while the windows are 12-pane sash types. Additional architectural details include an eaves course, a cornice, and a blocking course, along with three modern flat-roofed dormers.

The southwest elevation showcases two later 19th century canted windows, and the facade is harled with broached ashlar dressings. To the northwest, there is an earlier 19th century three-bay, three-storey wing constructed of rubble and lightly harled. The roof is shallow piended and has a platform slate covering, featuring two symmetrically placed central stacks.
