Description

Alexander Bridge in Tain was designed by David J. Reid and constructed by the Rose Street Foundry of Inverness between 1901 and 1902. This decorative suspension footbridge spans approximately 50 metres. It features a wooden deck that is supported by steel cables and hangers, with pairs of lattice-steel pylons at each end, which are topped by ornate finials.
