Description
The United Free Church of Scotland in Lochinver is a low rectangular church built in 1893, oriented east-west. It features rubble construction with tooled dressings. The west gable has a squat pointed-headed five-light window with simple cusping at its center. At the southeast angle, there is a stumpy square two-stage tower with a round-headed entrance at the base. The tower has string courses between the ground and the first stage belfry, which includes louvred lunettes on each face and a shallow pyramidal roof topped with cast-iron apex finials. The flanks of the church have three-bay sides with three-light squat pointed-headed windows, which are fitted with lattice-pane glazing, while the east window features stained glass decoration. There is a small vestry at the west gable, and the church has slate roofs with a ridge ventilator.
