Description
Eddrachilles Hotel, located in Lower Badcall, is an 1835 building that originally functioned as a 2-storey and attic, 3-bay house. It features a mid-19th century 2-storey, 2-bay wing at the rear and a further 2-storey, 2-bay wing added in 1981 to the west gable. The exterior is finished in white harling with contrasting painted margins. The entrance is situated at the center of the rear (north) and is concealed by a much-altered crowstepped porch. The front elevation includes two bargeboarded dormers from around 1900, with one additional dormer in the rear wing. The windows mainly consist of 12-pane glazing, and the building has corniced lozenge end stacks arranged in batteries of three on rectangular bases. The design features crowsteps and slate roofs, while the new wing has a modern filed roof.
