Description

This is a twin-arched rubble bridge built between 1810 and 1815 by Thomas Telford. It is constructed from rubble stone, with dressed stone used for the arch rings and parapet. The bridge features triangular cutwaters and a splayed approach, with shallow end buttresses. Some repairs have been carried out to the west parapet. Further information can be found in A.R.B. Haldane’s New Ways Through the Glens (1962), pages 69 and 250.
