Description

East Lodge at Kinlochmoidart House is a simple single-storey, three-bay gate lodge, likely designed by William Leiper around 1884. It features a symmetrical south front with red tile-hung walling adorned with decorative scalloped banding. The central door is sheltered by a straightforward gable canopied porch, which is supported by plain wooden columns that include plain side bench seats. The porch gable has white painted rustic detailing. The lodge has nine-pane glazing, end stacks, and a steeply piended slate roof topped with a red tile ridge and end pottery finials.
