Description
Gate Lodge at Househill is a late 19th-century building designed in the picturesque Scottish Revival style. It is a single-storey structure with a dormerless attic and features a compact single bay butterfly plan. The lodge includes a projecting gabled porch in the re-entrant and a short central wing at the rear. The exterior is constructed from stugged, sneck coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. Notable architectural features include a canted bay on the east gable, transomed windows with lattice-pane glazing, and a small lean-to at the west gable. The building is adorned with crowsteps and has central cluster ridge stacks, all topped with a slate roof.
