Victoria Hotel, 57 High Street, Nairn

The Victoria Hotel, located at 57 High Street in Nairn, is an earlier 19th-century building featuring two storeys and a later mansard roof. The hotel has three bays facing High Street and seven bays on Church Street, with a recessed curved angle bay. The ground floor is constructed from channelled ashlar, while the first floor is made of tooled ashlar, both with polished ashlar dressings that are painted.

On the ground floor of the High Street elevation, there is a three-bay shop front with pilastered jambs flanking a now-blocked central door and an inserted door to the left. A door is also present in the curved bay. All first-floor windows are adorned with moulded architraves and panelled aprons. The building features an eaves cornice and a blocking course, with a slate-hung mansard roof above. There are two flat-headed dormers on the High Street side and seven on the Church Street side, along with a two-light gabled dormer at the angle. The glazing in the ground and first-floor windows dates from around 1900, and there are two entrances on Castle Street. The building is topped with corniced stacks.
