Description

Earlier 19th century, 2 storeys and later mansard, 3 bays to

High Street, 7 bays to Church Street and recessed curved

angle bay. Channelled ashlar ground floor, tooled ashlar 1st

floor, polished ashlar dressings, all painted. 3 bay shop

front to ground floor High Street elevation with pilastered

jambs to (now blocked) centre door and inserted door to left.

Door in curved bay. All 1st floor windows with moulded

architraves and panelled aprons. Eaves cornice and blocking

course with slate hung mansard above; 2 flat headed dormers

to High Street and 7 to Church Street; 2 light gabled dormer

to angle. Circa 1900 glazing to ground and 1st floor windows;

2 entrances to Castle Street. Corniced stacks.
