Description

Queen's Park Baptist Church and Hall, located at 178 Queen's Drive in Glasgow, was designed by MacKissack and Rowan in 1886. This Romanesque church is situated on a corner site and features a hall that adjoins it. The exterior is made of stone-cleaned yellow ashlar with slate roofs.

The church has a gabled entrance facing Queen's Drive, which includes a doorway with chevron moulding. It features paired gallery level windows set within an arched panel, and is flanked by square turrets that rise upwards, each topped with an open belfry stage and a stone pyramidal spirelet. The side facing Niddrie Road showcases four gables with heavy stepped buttresses, likely inspired by those at Dunfermline Abbey. The hall also has similar buttresses and a gabled front facing Queen's Drive. Inside, the nave arcades are supported by scalloped capitals.
