Description
353, 355, 357, 359, and 361 Langside Road is a four-storey corner tenement building from the later 19th century, featuring Greek revival ornamentation. The building has acroteria over the architraved window hoods on the first and second floors, with an incised Greek key detail at the eaves. It has six bays facing Langside Road and three bays on Queen Mary Avenue, with a recessed curved narrow corner bay. The ground floor is channelled and accommodates shops, while the upper floors are constructed of stone-cleaned ashlar. The second floor has pilastered window jambs, and the windows have modern glazing. The building is topped with a cornice and a blocking course, although the stacks have been altered and the roof is now modern tiled.
