Description
Shiels is a two-storey house from the earlier to mid-19th century, featuring classical details and three narrow bays. The building is constructed of ashlar stone. It has a panelled door with a fanlight set behind a square-columned porch. The windows are architraved and corniced at the ground level, with plate glass sashes. The main cornice is prominent, and there is a blocking course that is emphasised at the centre. The house has end stacks and a slate roof.
