Old Parish Manse, Cathcart Old Parish Church, Carmunnock Road, Glasgow

The Old Parish Manse, located at Cathcart Old Parish Church on Carmunnock Road in Glasgow, is a parish manse from the early 20th century, possibly designed by H E Clifford, who also designed the parish church. The building features two storeys and a three-bay front with mullioned windows, while the ground floor windows are also transomed. To the right, there is a wide canted bay with a steep-pitched gable, and next to it is a hood-moulded pointed doorway. Above this doorway, there is an asymmetrically placed tall wall-head stack. The exterior is constructed of snecked bull-faced ashlar with polished dressings, and the glazing mainly consists of small panes, with plate glass lower lights on the ground floor. The roof is broad-eaved and covered with slate, featuring an end stack on the west side and an unusually treated east gable.
