Description
New Bridge, built in 1901, is a road bridge featuring a single segmental arch that carries Holmlea Road over the River Cart. The bridge is constructed with polished red granite for the balustraded parapets and rusticated voussoirs, which are complemented by light-colored ashlar spandrels. Additionally, there are cast-iron lamp brackets mounted on the piers.
