Description
7 Turnberry Road in Glasgow is a bold terrace of four 3-storey and basement houses, likely designed by Hugh Barclay in 1874. The houses feature two bays with canted right bays extending from the basement to the second floor, constructed of polished ashlar. They have sash and case windows with plate glass. Each house has an entrance to the left, accessed by a short flight of steps, and is adorned with a corniced doorpiece supported by tripartite shouldered anta columns. There is a band course at the ground floor level, along with a cornice. Above the entrance, there is an architraved, corniced window. The canted bays are topped with a pierced parapet, and there is a cill band on the second floor. A modillion cornice and axial stacks are also present, and the houses have a slate roof. Some cast-iron railings are found along the boundary walls and parapets.
