Description

Circa 1880. Astylar terrace of tenements; 3 storeys, attic

and basement. 19 bays arranged 4-12-3; 2-bay houses. Polished

ashlar, mostly stonecleaned.

To left, steps oversailing basement to wide consoled corniced

doorpiece; to right 2-storey corniced canted window. To 2nd

floor, bipartite to right, single window to left. Sash

windows, plate glass glazing. String course at eaves; dentil

and mutule cornice. Slate roofs, axial stacks.

4-bay flanks, similarly detailed; bipartite or single light

windows. Steps to single storey projecting corniced porch,

consoled doorway.

Good decorative scrolled cast-iron railings to steps and

basement; square corniced ashlar gatepiers.
