Iqra Academy, 423 Paisley Road West, Glasgow

Iqra Academy, located at 423 Paisley Road West in Glasgow, is a school building designed by Robert Baldie in 1875. It features a long, symmetrical front that is two stories high and has crow-stepped gables. The central entrance tower is adorned with conical-roofed bartisans and an iron-crested French roof. The entrance includes a moulded, arched doorway, while the first floor showcases oriel windows in advanced gables, with intermediate bays that contain transoms and single or paired lights featuring small vertical panes. The building is constructed of ashlar and has slate roofs.

In front of the school, there is a low playground wall with iron railings along the street.

Inside, the layout consists of a central hall with classrooms arranged around a light well, and there are stairs at each end of the hall.
