Description

Later to late 19th century. 3-storey, 3-bay tenement with shops at ground. Polished ashlar, painted at ground with cornice above and eaves course, segmental-arched windows, cill brackets, stone mullions.

N (HIGH STREET) ELEVATION: basket-arched openings at ground. Recessed shop door to left of centre with flanking display windows, curved and etched glass to door jambs; deep-set shop door to outer right with display window to left and ceramic tiled jamb; timber panelled tenement door to left with cornice on scrolled consoles; all display windows above panelled base course, all doors with plate glass fanlights. 1st and 2nd floor with single window at centre flanked by bipartite windows.

Plate glass glazing throughout, timber sash and case windows to 1st and 2nd floor. Grey slates, ashlar coped skews with moulded skewputts, coped ashlar stacks and some cans.

INTERIOR: Shop to left with elaborate curvilinear cornicing and centre ceiling rose.
