10 Bank Street, Elie

10 Bank Street in Elie is a building from the late 18th or early 19th century that has been altered over time. It is two stories high with an attic and is constructed from roughly coursed rubble with droved ashlar dressings and painted margins. The ground floor features three windows of irregular sizes, and there is a large corbelled three-light canted bay window to the left of the central stair window, which has a relieving arch above it. To the right, there is a first-floor window. The left mezzanine window on the ground floor and the right first-floor window still have their original glazing. The roof has been raised and is covered with slate, incorporating two old bipartite windows and a later single window in a rubble-built west wing. The building has slated roofs, skews, and end stacks. The south elevation has three windows, with original glazing on the first floor, and features a large conservatory at the angle with the later piended advanced west wing. There is also a box dormer similar to that on the north side.
