5 Bank Street, Elie

5 Bank Street in Elie is a late 19th-century building that stands two stories high with an attic. It features stugged coursers with polished ashlar dressings and chamfered margins. The ground floor has a double-arched entrance with panelled doors and a semi-circular fanlight on the left. To the right, there is a well-preserved original shopfront that includes a central recessed door and two windows above which are balustered coloured glass lights set above a transom, along with a continuous fascia that has a sunblind and end consoles.

On the first floor, there is a central tripartite window, a single light window on the left, and a shallow canted three-light oriel bay on the right. The building has canted dormers in the centre and on the right, and a flat-roofed dormer on the left. The roof is slated, with skews that have moulded ends and two corniced ashlar stacks. The north elevation is rendered.
