Description
Greenbank, located at 14 Bank Street in Elie, is a building from the mid to late 19th century. It is two stories tall, constructed of rubble with ashlar dressings. The corners are stugged, and the openings feature chamfered long-and-short detailing.
The north-east corner has a canted three-light window on the first floor, which is set back from a square shape at that level. The north elevation includes a small central window flanked by bipartite windows, along with a tall stair window on the ground floor that has colored margin lights in the center and a window in the right-hand gable.
The south elevation has three bays, with gables on the left and a central gablet that features a panelled door on the side and a blind arched light above it. To the right, there is a recessed bay with a gablet on the first floor. The building also has decorative barge boards and a pendant on the gable, along with low stugged ashlar chimney stacks.
